Suddenly the little train came, I had no time for taking a picture, but I will get a chance later. It is a quite new railbus. To the right of the driver is a place for me at the front window. The driver is stearing at me, I look like a reporter from an international magazine with my big camera. Only a few passengers are stepping on.
Coming to the first station, Chabris.The swift are set for track 2. Track 1 is for the warehouse. There are no swift lanterns or just signboards.Thelegraph pols are to be seen, like 50 years ago, nearly too good to be true.
The platforms are nice. We see a couple of persons, I suppose it is some passengers, a mother and her daughter maybee?
A very little buinding, unlike the station building in Gièvres. This is th Blanc-Argen kind. The driver hands over the service mail.
Something is happening in the far. A railbus is coming up. We are going to have crosssing trains. Yahoo!
The railbus is one of the two "CFD" X 240 from the beginning of the 1980´.
No, the passengers were not passengers at all. It is the station master and her daughter, setting the signal for the trains.
Coming to the next station Valençay. Still track 1 is the warehouse track. Is it really possible? The track is the most worse, I ever have seen and the speed is terrible. It is still hot , 35 degrees, and the track is moving in the heat. Rusty spots on the track tells me, that the train wheels sometimes are leaving the ground. It´s getting worse and more worse. Some railbusses are to be seen on the side track.
Valençay is a very fine station. One of the former dukes of Valençay has spent his money for it, the castle with the same name is nearby, ready for a visit, but I prefer to ride the train.
The railbus is one of the 4 "Verney" X200, renewed in the beginning of the1980´. It is the school-train, only running Luçay-le-Mâle - Valençay and only on the school-days.
End station Luçay-le-Mâle. Even a couple of passengers. Also here, the 1.track is for the warehouse, and even a couple of freight cars can be seen. We have 6 minutes before return. I beg the driver to wait for us. I need to take some pictures for the "magazine".
