KWAI 2

The train comes.

The guide suggested to us to buy a seat reservation. It was a good idea.

It will take three quarters of an hour to go to the dangerous curve, so it was a good idea to have a seat, even if the wagon looks like something from the fifties. Even it is a third class wagon, there is a good aircondition. A signal box beside the rail.

We go out on the Krasae Cave Bridge quite slowly.

The posts are numbered. The picture has been taken from the window right down.

A postcard shows better the wobbly bridge.

We get off. See an official with his uniform.

This station here is situated just after the Krasae bridge and is named Tamkrasae. It is well-kept, many passengers get off here.

Now a lunch is waiting for us, and after that there is time for looking at the souvenir stalls, the station and the bridge. Here is the station seen from the other side.

Also the bridge should have an inspection. It looks rather primitive.

A comment in the end: We have bought this trip from home to be quite shure to see the bridge, and it was cheep seen with our glasses, 25£ for taxi, museum, river tour, trainride and lunch. Could be recommended to do so.
