BANGKOK 2
We are going to see the Skytrain and the metro. It is two modern transporting systems, of each another independent. They have not common tickets. The metrostations are very difficult to find. They are very discreet. Skytrain is more visible, when it is running on a bridge in the middle of the road. Our nearest station is Asok. The metrostation should be nearby. We found it the next day. On the picture it is on the other side of the street by the blue and red stripes.

Here is a picture of the metrostation.

They build. View from hotel Rembrand. Skytrain in the middle of the picture.

Some pictures of the Skytrain. The trains are short, but they run often and have a good aircondition and ugly posters on the side of the wagons.

Siam station is the most interesting station in the moment. Two lines are meeting, but in two levels. It could be a good idea for Your gardenrailway if You need area.

Same station in the night.

We have three more stations to inspect. It is Wongwian in the Thonburidistrict.IT seems to be a local station, and the line is pointing to Samut Sakhon,as the guide book tells nothing about. Next is Thon Buri, also called the South railway station, situated on the west side of the Chao riwer. According to the time-tabel has this station two daily departs to the Riwer Kwai. Third the Makassan Railway station as we passed on our way fraom the airport to our hotel in Sukumvit. According to the map it should be quite big. We begin with the Thon Buri. Railway Quay:

Here it is Thon Buri, the Sout Railway Station.

What! No rails. Long gone. Some officials are sitting inside. I`m asking where the station is? They are pointing out of the road and say one kilometre. We were very lucky, that we bought our Kwai-tour from home. We give up. No time to run after that. We have others to see.
