BANGKOK 1
Bangkok is a huge city, more than 10 mio. inhabitans. The trafic is chaotic er, but in this very moment they are going to expand the metro and the citytrain (skyline). If You take the trouble to overhaul the possibilities, it is easy and cheep to get around. The difficulties are that You canīt get a quite new map, and many streets has been renamed. I have drawn a map with the rail as it looks right now, and the Chao Riwer, which also is an importan traffic line.
Coming from Phuket by aeroplane, Your reporter walks one km. through the old Don Muang Airport to the 1m gauge railway, Don Muang station. We have been told, tat trains are running every half hour. Byt, it was not so. 3― hour to wait was the reality.
A cab driver offer us to bring us to our hotel, and when succeded, and low cost, we engaged him to drive us the whole 3. and last day in Bangkok. And then, after dumping the baggage at the hotel, out and explore the city.
We decided to take a taxi to the central station, Hua Lamprong. What are You going there for, said the driver. It is not fynny there. Now I will bring You to a much more funny place where You can.. HUA LAMPRONG!, said Your reporter. The building looks 75 years old, but else well-kept, just like many other railway stations.
